My expertise lies in the development of bioinformatic methods, statistical models for molecular evolution, efficient algorithms for computational phylogenomics, and high-performance computing techniques in genomics. My recent achievement includes dedicated efforts to new model development in the IQ-TREE software, an efficient maximum-likelihood-based phylogenetic software widely used to estimate evolutionary relationships between species. Recently, I developed a new multi-tree model for the IQ-TREE software, which improves the software's ability to identify and analyse complex evolutionary relationships.
