Biography

Tianyu Shen received his Ph.D. in Demography from the Australian National University in 2025. His doctoral research focused on social inequalities in health across the Asia–Pacific region and on developing multistate models to better capture population dynamics. He has contributed to several major projects, including the State Population Projections Model for the Centre for Population, ACT Treasury Population Projections, Overcoming the Problems of Inconsistent Migration Data in the Asia–Pacific, and ACT School Enrolment Projections.
