Mr Trong Nhan Ly

Nhan Ly-Trong received his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Networks and Communications, and his Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Information Technology (UIT) – Vietnam National University-HoChiMinh City in 2016 and 2019, respectively. He submitted his PhD thesis in June 2024 and started his Associate Research Fellow in August 2024 both at the Australian National University (ANU). His research interests span both Computer Science and Bioinformatics, consisting of Phylogenetics, Machine Learning, and High Performance Computing. He is now focusing on developing new effective methods for phylogenetic inference to deal with challenges from big biological data sets.
