2011 Fellow of the British Academy [FBA]

Prize: Election to learned society

Description

Each year, the British Academy elects to its fellowship outstanding scholars who have achieved distinction in any branch of the humanities and social sciences. Election is a mark of distinction, as only a very small number of scholars in any field are elected. The prime criterion for election to the fellowship of the Academy is academic distinction as reflected in scholarly research activity and publication.
