Professor Andrew Macintosh, Co-Director of the newly established ANU Centre for Environmental Markets at the ANU Law School, has received the Judges’ Commendation in the 2025 Nature Awards for Standing Up for Science (John Maddox Prize).
The Nature Awards are among the world’s most respected honours celebrating individuals who champion science and evidence-based policy, often in the face of adversity.
Professor Macintosh was commended by the judges for his leadership and commitment to maintaining integrity in sustainability initiatives, particularly in relation to his work on the Australian carbon credit unit (ACCU) scheme.
