The European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) instituted the Hedley Bull Prize in International Relations to recognise one of the most influential thinkers in international relations during the second half of the twentieth century. The Prize is awarded annually for a book which makes a substantial and original contribution to theory and/or empirical studies in any field of International Relations.
