A systematic review of publications to identify the burden and types of disabilities associated with TB disease

As outlined in the Request for Quotation, we will:Develop a PICO question based on the defined research question which will form the basis of the systematic review, with agreement sought from WHO;Draft and refine a systematic review protocol with data extraction forms and search strategies to answer the PICO question, including criteria for inclusion and exclusion, a data analysis plan and our approach to assessing the quality of the included papers, with agreement sought from WHO;Conduct a systematic review (and meta-analysis1, if possible) according to the agreed protocol, which will include an assessment of the risk of bias of the included studies using validated tools;Prepare an electronic library of all studies (included and excluded) in the review, which can be shared with WHO;Submit a draft report to WHO for feedback; andFinalise a report and joint manuscript with staff from WHO, seeking WHO sign off before submission.
