A tool to attract institutional investment towards the decarbonisation of the electricity sector

The general objective of the project is to keep on contributing towards addressing the four limitations for institutional investors to invest in off-grid renewables, namely:1.Difficulty to turn projects into an attractive asset class,2.Absence of adequate tools to measure sustainability goals,3.Lack of quality data,4.High-risk profile of projects.The specific objective of this project is to address the three dangers listed1.The lack of transparency that results from the use of contractual governance in international development finance,2.The timebombs that result from transferring risk to the state, society, and the environment,3.The lack of accountability from power developers.
