    Project Details

    Description

Quantum computers harness the fundamental nature of the universe to perform computations that are impossible to perform on todays classical computers. Consequently, quantum computers promise to be one of the most disruptive technologies of the 21st century, with diverse applications across industry. The ultimate aim of this project is to develop the worlds first desktop quantum computer. Funding is sought from the Discovery Translation Fund to support the conversion of existing laboratory-based diamond quantum computers into a proof-of-concept desktop-sized device, and to make key technical advancements towards a commercially viable prototype.
