Accelerating Apartment Electrification in ACT

The project will further develop and apply ACES multi-energy system modelling capabilities to the challenging problem of apartment building electrification in the ACT. Household electrification is identified as a priority policy challenge under the ACT EIF program. Understanding and overcoming the technical, economic and social barriers to electrifying apartments is the most challenging piece of this problem. This research will explore innovative models, including models driven by emerging social values, to break down some of these barriers.
