ACT Asbestos Health Study

This study will examine if there are excess rates of mesothelioma and other cancers among people who have lived in a house with loose-fill asbestos insulation in the ACT. Individual-level data from the Medicare register will be linked to the ACT Asbestos Response Taskforce register of Affected Residential Premises (ARPs), the Australian Cancer Database (ACD) and the National Death Index (NDI). Data will be linked probabilistically using full name, sex, date of birth and address.
