Addressing racialised health inequities in cancer

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

Cervical cancer can be eliminated by vaccination, screening and treatment (three pillars of elimination). Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women experience rates of cervical cancer comparable with less developed regions of the world despite other Australian women having the lowest rates in the world. This Indigenous led research program will focus on overcoming racial inequities via strategic culturally safe interventions focused on the three pillars of elimination.
