    Project Details

    Description

Quantum science will play a major role in future technology and strongly influence our daily lives. Currently scientists all over the world are doing research to improve the understanding of the quantum world. The aim of this project is to acquire a leading position of this rapidly advancing research field. The two projects described in this proposal will focus on the areas Quantum Imaging, a relatively new research area and Quantum Memory, needed as an interface between light and atoms in many different areas of the Quantum Information research field. Both projects rely on efficient generation, manipulation and detection of squeezed light sources.
