Anticipating, Combating and Exploiting the Evolution of Pesticide Resistance in Australian Agricultural Pests and Disease Vectors

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

The evolution of insecticide resistance is a major challenge for Australian agriculture. We will advance evolution in the laboratory to predict how future resistance will occur and take steps to prevent it. New insecticides will be developed and we will use the proteins that provide resistance to make new bio-sensors and decontaminate insecticides.
