Project Details
Description
In this project, a consortium consisting of 3 leading universities and a leading industry partner aim to progress monolithic silicon-perovskite tandem (SPT) technology to the point of commercial production, with significant anticipated production volumes by the end of the project.Perovskite-based tandems are considered the most promising technology to increase the efficiency of commercial solar cells in a cost-effective way, and monolithic SPTs have attracted the greatest amount of attention by industry due to their relative ease of fabrication and high efficiency potential. To realise the potential of the technology, this project will focus on key challenges that must be addressed including further increasing the efficiency, improving the stability, addressing silicon-perovskite integration and scaling up the technology.
