    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project aims to pioneer solutions in renewable energy, plant quality enhancement, intelligent greenhouse monitoring and analysis to drive forward the vast potential of protected cropping. This project expects to transform the agricultural sector by creating a robust framework positioning Australia at the forefront of protected cropping. Expected outcomes include advanced energy technologies for greenhouses enabling them to be self-sustained, affordable, and powered by renewable energy, and new automated decision-making techniques for farmers. This should provide significant benefits in agriculture including increased efficiency and environmental sustainability, jobs, optimised resource use, and improved crop yields and food security.
