Project Details
Description
This project will update the San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea. The Manual, published in 1994, is a crucial resource for Australian and global naval forces that provides an authoritative interpretation of the law of armed conflict at sea. However, it is now 25 years since publication and an international research project to update the Manual in light of contemporary State practice has commenced. The ANU College of Law will host the second of three international workshops that will undertake the academic research and policy consultations needed to complete the update project.
