Assessing soil formation and erosion balances in the Top End with an expanded toolkit

This project aims to quantify soil formation rates and modern soil loss rates in the Daly River region of the Northern Territory to define ideas about sustainable land use in the wet-dry tropics. The information obtained will contribute materially to assessments of the potential for increased agriculture in Northern Australia, to fundamental questions of soil formation rates, and methodological approaches.
