Project Details
Description
Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have been the object of intensive investigation recently due to their unique optical and electronic properties and their application in optoelectronic devices. This project aims at studying the ultrafast relaxation and transport dynamics in semiconductor QDs and related nanostructures. By probing and exploring the fundamental physics associated with carriers in these semiconductor nanostructures, a wealth of information could be revealed from the quantum world. The understanding gained from such studies will help improve the performance of opto-electronic devices and develop the next generation opto-electronic devices based on these nanostructures.
