Project Details
Description
The project addresses issues surrounding China s demand for metals and energy resulting from its rapid industrialisation. What will be the impact on world prices of the increasing demand for metals and energy from China? Can the world cope with the economic and environmental effects of growing China demand ? The project analyses the implications of various patterns of output growth and structural adjustment and the demand for internationally traded resources using the input-output method and the dynamic recursive modelling technique. It contributes to the understanding of Chinese economic growth for demand for the major minerals and energy products that enter international trade.
