Project Details
Description
The Asia Foundations work is being influenced by this changing geopolitical and development landscape, particularly as traditional donors lose their leverage with partner countries and new Asian initiatives intersect with TAFs and partner programmatic priorities. Partners like DFAT lack robust data and analysis on China and Indias engagement in their countries which would enable them to program more effectively. Research and reporting on these trends expand daily. Press reports and social media are easily accessible but paint a limited picture. Chinese language material is challenging to access for non -Chinese speakers. Valuable, empirical and analytical research can easily be missed in the deluge of articles, books, podcasts, and webinars.ObjectiveTo keep TAF partners (primarily DFAT) apprised of current trends, research, and analysis on Chinas foreign policy and international cooperation efforts.
