    The ACT is leading Australia in developing and trialling health services that provide chemicalanalyses of illicit drugs to the public. Australias first official drug checking service wasrun at a festival in 2018, and again in 2019. The ACT Government is exploring trialling afixed-site drug checking service in the city. This important proposal will be used to directlyinform the design and implementation of a novel health service in the ACT. The study designinvolves innovative co-design methodology to ensure that the vulnerable Canberrans thatthe service intends to help are engaged and empowered to play a role in its implementation.We are not aware of other similar projects on drug checking services elsewhere in the world.
