Communication via epigenetic mechanisms: cell cross-talk and male fertility

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

Male infertility is on the rise in Western society but the processes that drive sperm production are still poorly understood. We discovered a new epigenetics-based process that involves the transfer of important information between different cell types in the testis that is critical for the production of viable sperm. We aim to uncover the molecular mechanism of this process, which will provide new insights into the causes of male infertility.
