    Project Details

    Description

By exploring the impact of digital technologies and new media practices on the social, cultural and linguistic ecology of remote Indigenous Australia, this project will shed light on the use of digital media to support youth engagement in innovation, communication, education, employment and public participation in the digital economy. It will assist in policy development for improving IT readiness, promoting safe internet usage and bridging the digital divide. The cultural and educational implications of youth media innovations in the Indigenous context will reach out to an international audience and provide important theoretical contributions to a universal understanding of sociocultural learning in the globalised digital world.
