CP4 Sustainable Desert Settlements: 2006-2009

Sustainable Desert Settlements will develop a representative understanding of how desert settlements function, the key threshold factors impacting on settlement sustainability and vulnerability, and any variation that may occur between settlement types.Through this project people living in desert settlements will articulate their aspirations, strategies for vulnerable times and events, and work with the support of the research team to develop adaptive approaches that enhance community monitoring tools and settlement resilience as outcomes of this research.
