Cutting-edge applications of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in biomedical research

The molecular basis of many diseases is not understood very well, thus impeding with development of new rationally-designed medical therapies. I will apply my specialised research expertise in Biochemistry and NMR spectroscopy for unravelling the biomolecular mechanisms of a range of physiological and pathological processes, such as excitation-contraction coupling in skeletal muscles, mechanosensation and shape regulation by cells, as well as glucose transport and glyoxalase activity in tumours.
