Dementia Stigma Reduction (DESeRvE): A randomised controlled trial to reduce dementia related stigma in general public

Despite the success of interventions for reducing the stigma of mental illnesses, research investigating strategies to tackle dementia-related stigma are lacking. The proposed project aims to fill this significant gap in knowledge through the design, implementation and evaluation of an online intervention programme (DESeRvE) to reduce dementia-related stigma. The program will be modelled on evidence-based approaches successfully applied to other stigmatised conditions.
