DES1231876 Development of an improved Avoided Clearing of Native Regrowth carbon method

The Australian Climate and Biodiversity Foundation has provided the Land Restoration Fund with a proposal to develop an improved Avoided Clearing of Native Regrowth carbon method under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme. The improved method would address several key limitations of the current method and deliver greater uptake of the method, improve the integrity of the method and deliver enhanced carbon sequestration and co-benefit opportunities for Queensland. The improved method will assist Queensland in reducing the re-clearing of land for agriculture and contribute to meeting its carbon sequestration, biodiversity, native vegetation and natural capital objectives.
