Project Details
Description
Peer review due May 2024 - 2023 TCR Commercial Determinants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health -- The commercial determinants of health (CDoH) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (hereafter, we respectfully use the term Indigenous) peoples are yet to be defined and contextualised. This presents a significant knowledge gap and it is only with an appropriate definition that we can adequately address the call to assess how commercial determinants impact Indigenous health and wellbeing. This project aims to create the first comprehensive Indigenous Commercial Determinants Index (ICDI) that will better inform policies to strengthen Indigenous health and wellbeing systems and services; and create a Community Capacity Framework (CCF) to empower communities to make decisions about CDoH that will bring benefit and reduce harm.
