Efficient photovoltaic concentrator receivers utilising commercial non-concentrator solar cells

The aim of this project is to develop efficient receivers for use at the focus of parabolic trough concentrators utilising commercially available one-sun solar cells. This will overcome the problem of lack of supply of suitable low-cost solar cells for trough concentrators. The expected outcome will be the ability to construct low cost photovoltaic concentrator systems. This will open up a large new market for solar energy applications.
