Project Details
Description
We will analyse the factors and processes that drove past and recent transitions between energy sources and improvements in energy efficiency. We will also improve understanding of the role of energy in economic growth and the industrial revolution by developing new economic growth models. The impact of this research on the costs of climate change policy will be assessed by carrying out a sensitivity analysis of the G-Cubed macro-economic and climate policy model. We will also strengthen energy and climate economics capabilities in Australia by training a post-doctoral research associate and developing links with European researchers.
