    Description

    We aim to study the properties of metamaterials with a negative index of refraction and explore their applications for manipulating electromagnetic waves at sub-wavelength scales. As a result of this project, we will predict new physical phenomena in left-handed metamaterials including studies of magnetoinductive waves and the effect of disorder and nonlinearities on their properties. This project will promote this research field in Australia, and facilitate the emergence of new electromagnetic technologies.
