Evaluating the potential of combinatorial therapy with RNA polymerase I inhibitors to counteract chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

Researchers have presented with a unique opportunity of identifying novel drugs that can potentially be used for prevention or treatment of the reduction of platelets caused by cancer therapies. We propose to test the old and new drugs for their ability to elevate platelet numbers. The development of such drugs will have massive implication in the treatment of cancer patients since elevating their platelets would allow the continuation of their therapies
