    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project will involve the evaluation of the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) intervention in ACT secondary schools. The evaluation will be conducted with Year 9 and 10 students from ACT public, Catholic and independent schools. The evaluation will include self-report student outcomes, such as self-efficacy, help-seeking intentions, mental health literacy and mental health stigma (social distance). It will also include an assessment of student experience of the intervention, intervention strengths and limitations, and any actions taken after completing the intervention (3-month follow-up). The evaluation will also include an assessment of intervention effects from the perspective of school staff (classroom teachers, school executive) and an assessment of intervention fidelity (completed by facilitators).
