Ex Led: Survey of Solar Module Quality on Australian Solar Farms using Outdoor Photoluminescence Imaging and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

This project brings together researchers from UNSW andANU with the high-profile commercial partners ScanPro, 5BSolar and Impact Investment Group and SolarShare. Wewill be using our novel outdoor photoluminescenceimaging capabilities to conduct a survey of solar modulefaults in Australia. ScanPro, a solar asset monitoringcompany will support this project by pre-select interestingmodule clusters using IR drone surveillance of entire solarfarms, while our ACAP partner at ANU will bring inadditional expertise of solar module backsheet testing vianear-infrared spectroscopy.
