    Project Details

    Description

We are requesting $100,000 to i) replace the drives that positions the 160-tonne dome of the ANU 2.3-metre telescope, and ii) upgrade the electronics that control the positions and velocities of the telescopeaxes. The request is part of a long-term strategy to ensure reliable operations for at least another decade andbuilds on the $1.6M investment to automate the telescope using funds provided by the ANU Centre forGravitational Astrophysics, the Research Support Program, and the ARC through LE230100063.
