    Description

    Fifty percent of mental disorder develops in adolescence. Involving 20,000 students, this project uses new technologies to study the causes andmechanisms of emerging anxiety, depression, psychosis and suicide risk, and to test whether an app-based prevention intervention can avertillness and lower symptoms. Using machine learning and smartphone software, this will be the largest investigation of the potentially contributing roles of social media and social networks to youth mental health.
