Project Details
Description
This Laureate project will assemble and develop a team of researchers to exploit new and highly innovativemethods arising from the research of the Laureate fellow, seizing an opportunity to apply these at the forefront ofcurrent research over several areas of mathematics, including differential geometry, geometric analysis, spectralm theory, and partial differential equations. The development of these techniques - and of a team expert in their use - will ensure the Laureate fellowship has a lasting legacy, while the specific applications will have substantial impact in all of the above areas, and the methods will impact on a range of related fields including stochastic modelling and finance, image processing, and the basic sciences.
