Global Research Partnership Scheme - Elizabeth Ratnam

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

The global energy transition is amongst the most pressing challenges facing humanity in the 21st century. A key aspect of the transition is a shift from a centralised electricity grid to distributed and decentralised architectures that require new capabilities for the deployment and operation of large amounts of renewable energy generation, energy storage, electric vehicles and demand response in the electricity distribution network. Significant research and development activities are needed to demonstrate how this can be achieved whilst ensuring a resilient and reliable electricity supply.
