Project Details
Description
Transparent carrier-selective contacts based on wide-bandgap metal oxides have the potential to resolve the long-standing trade-off between photon absorption, carrier collection, and recombination imposed by conventional non-transparent contact technologies in silicon solar cells. This project will bring together leading researchers in this field at ANU, UNSW and UoM, in collaboration with top-tier PV manufacturer Trina Solar, to focus on selected metal-oxide-based contact technologies which have recently demonstrated outstanding performance potential, progressing them towards application in commercial-scale devices.
