    Myrtle rust is a fungal disease that is spreading worldwide, threatening the biodiversity of Myrtaceae plants such as Syzygium, Eucalyptus and Melaluca. These plants are key foundation species for wildlife, have high agricultural value and are iconic in Australian culture.
