iLAuNCH: Project SWIFT: SHOT Southern Hemisphere Optical Terminal (SC-11)

This project encompasses the design and procurement of a space optical terminal from a leading vendor (Tesat Spacecom), followed by its assembly, testing, and integration with an airborne system or a future satellite. Concurrently, a fibre-optic link will be established between the ANU Quantum Optical Ground Station and Optus. The testing phase will involve operating the space terminal to demonstrate its capabilities and the performance of optical ground station instrumentation, including adaptive optics.
