Implementation of a peer worker-led mental health recovery program

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project will seek to implement a group-based, peer-led recovery program, "Recovery Is Up to You," in partnership with public and community mental health services in the ACT. Building on a small proof-of-concept trial currently being conducted within ACT public mental health services, the project will use an interventional implementation design to examine the feasibility, acceptability and effectiveness of the program. The project will examine both the processes required to embed the program within government and NGO services and the impact it has on individuals' recovery (empowerment, hope, self-efficacy, quality of life) and service outcomes (recovery-orientation, workforce).
