Project Details
Description
Climate change is an everyday reality in the densely populated Sundarbans in South Asia. This project explores innovative solutions to climate change and disasters and will build the capacity of a broad cross-section of ANU researchers from different colleges to lead research in these areas. The project will examine novel solutions for climate affected communities, shared with scholarly communities, the wider public and policy-makers in West Bengal. These solutions will also be shared with partners in Asia and the Pacific, and with Australian organisations (such as the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Center for Agricultural Research). This research would further support the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions clusters and priority areas.
