Project Details
Description
The Distributed Energy Integration Program (DEIP) is a collaboration of government agencies, market and regulatory bodies, industry and consumer associations aimed at maximising the value of distributed energy resources (CER) for all energy users. The DEIP Interoperability Steering Committee (ISC) supports the development and implementation of industry technical standards with a focus on interoperability capabilities to better enable the integration of CER into the Australian energy system. ANU (as BSGIP and now ACES) has provided technical expert advice and secretariat for the DEIP ISC (and various sub working groups) for a number of years, and has been directly funded by ARENA since 2021. The latest funding agreement term ended 31/12/2024. ARENA have invited ANU to provide a funding proposal for continuation of this work in 2025, as well as development of a testing and certification regime for CER which will be implemented in 2025.
