Project Details
Description
Auditing has undergone significant challenges in recent times. Corporate collapses which have triggered public debates and enquiries highlight the urgent need to restore community confidence in financial statement audits. This project combines the auditing profession and an experienced research team to ascertain the attitudes and expectations of key stakeholders in the market for audit services and then to craft strategic advice to key policy makers to ensure that the delivery of audit services in Australia is, and is seen to be, of the highest quality. The outcome will be that users and regulators of financial information will be more confident, fostering a more efficient Australian capital market.
