Project Details
Description
Modern control and communication technologies are currently being challenged by the need to deliver large-scale, multi-agent systems, without the existence of a mature set of design principles. For many such problems, defining and then implementing the right architectures to coordinate the sensing, communication and control tasks are essential. This project will develop methodologies and techniques for the design of such systems, especially unmanned vehicle formations and sensor networks, with a focus on guaranteeing the operational efficiency through appropriate architectures. Much of the work will target at defence applications, but with the applicability also found in the civilian sector.
