Project Details
Description
This project aims to develop novel nanostructured lead-free oxide perovskites for solar energy applications
through a combination of state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical approaches. Success of this research will
advance the rational design of novel solar cells based on oxide perovskites, which would have the promise of high
efficiency, high output voltage, environmentally friendly photovoltaic technology. The expected outcome includes
clarification of the critical roles of the cation ordering and epitaxial strain for tailoring the electronic/domain
structures and thus photovoltaic performance. A comprehensive understanding of microscopic nature and origin of the photovoltaic effect in oxide perovskites will also be achieved
