Mechanisms and Patterns of Post-Transcriptional Gene Control

Senior Research Fellowship B (SRF-B) - This proposal is based on over a decade of highly successful research in RNA-level gene regulation, an area of increasing international interest,as much of our genome is transcribed into a myriad of RNAs with largely unknown functions. My vision for the next 5 years is to chart thecomplexity of such transcription outputs and how transcriptome function is shaped through RNA processing/modification and dynamic RNAproteininteractions.
