    Description

The demand for higher user mobility and higher data rates is a key issue in future wireless communication systems, worldwide. This project proposes a model-based approach to adaptive signal processing in time-varying communication systems. The goal is to understand the fundamental theoretical and practical trade-offs that are involved in optimising the achievable data rates. The outcomes of research are systematic design of computationally and spectrally efficient adaptive channel coding and estimation techniques in transmitters and receivers and evaluation of their performance limits (such as channel capacity and BER) with the use of developed accurate channel models.
